Kamaka Soprano (Standard) Ukulele

The label on the inside of this Kamaka soprano is missing, but it's a "white label" (1969-1978) model. It has a very unusual "white koa" fingerboard, which is almost pristine, although the body shows some slight wear & tear. Original Schaller thumbscrew tuners are in mint condition. Instantly recognizable Kamaka tone, with warm lows and crisp, punchy highs. Includes the original plush-lined chipboard case, in good shape, and a sealed set of Kamaka strings which were quite possibly purchased at the same time as the ukulele. A fine instrument, destined to be an heirloom.

Kamaka White Label Soprano

People regularly trade in their old Kamakas on a Mele, but it's rare that we see one this beautiful. It's been well cared for and gently played.  Curly koa on both top and back, original Schaller tuners still hold tension. Fully reconditioned by Michael Rock. Best guess on age would be 1969 or 1970. Sounds amazingly good! very full, rich, warm tone with crystalline overtones. Priced a few bucks higher than what we usually ask for Kamaka standards and well worth every penny! Flightforms plush-lined chipboard case appears to be original! Get it while you can, 'cause it won't be around very long,

Vintage Koa Martin - style Tiple

This lovely tiple is at least 50 years old. It plays and sounds really nice. There is some minor water staining on the lower back; otherwise, it's in great shape for its age. The tuner buttons appear to be made of genuine ivory, and all the wood (including the neck) appears to be koa. The dimensions and construction techniques are almost identical to a Martin, but there are no markings that we can find, so its origin is a mystery.
